Please empty your heart of all your worries.
The Diamond Sutra says: "Subhuti, if a Bodhisattva has the marks of self, person, sentient being, or life span, then he is not a Bodhisattva."
The Buddha said that sentient beings are inherently without form; all is illusion. Yet, people often cling to external things, losing themselves in the process.
The more worries one has, the heavier one's heart becomes, like carrying a heavy baggage; every day becomes a difficult journey.
Empty the garbage from your heart; erase unpleasant people and events from your memory to make room for happiness.
Remember, a heart filled with sunshine ensures a peaceful life! Do
n't
bottle everything up inside.
As Zhuangzi said: "Use your heart like a mirror; respond to what comes, but let go of what has passed."
If you treat your heart as a mirror, you'll know that this mirror cannot hold onto the past.
The music ends, the audience disperses, and things are irreversible; clinging to them in your heart is meaningless.
A high-ranking monk returned from a pilgrimage. His disciples, hearing of the hardships he had endured, asked, "Master, your journey was so arduous, why are you still so happy?"
The monk, upon hearing this, took a bitter gourd from his robes and said, "This is what I carried with me throughout the journey. Every time I crossed a sacred river, I would dip it in the water and then bring it into the temple to receive offerings and worship."
He then gave the bitter gourd to his disciples, instructing them to cook it and taste it together.
The bitter gourd cooked quickly, and after tasting it, the disciples frowned and asked, "Master, this bitter gourd was bathed in holy water and underwent pilgrimage, why is it still so bitter?"
"Because its heart is bitter," the monk replied.
Because the heart is bitter, no amount of change can change it.
Life is like walking through thorns; if the heart is still, the body will not act rashly, and thus will not be harmed; but if the heart is agitated, the body will act rashly, injuring itself and experiencing all kinds of suffering in the world.
People, don't keep everything to yourself, don't bottle it up inside.
Life has its ups and downs, its good and bad luck. Even the worst things will pass; dwelling on them is pointless and only brings unhappiness.
If you remember so much, how can you have the heart to embrace new and exciting things?
A bitter heart makes life bitter; a heart full of worries makes life unhappy. Therefore, forget what you can forget, let go of what you can let go of. Don't bottle up your sorrows; let them go.
Lu Xun said, "Either erupt in silence or die in silence."
The more silent you are in life, the heavier the sorrow in your heart becomes, ultimately leaving only pain.
Don't create your own troubles while you're alive. Since people have left, let them go; since things have passed, don't force them. Living happily is better than anything else!
2.
Forget about life's troubles.
The Sixth Patriarch Huineng said: "It is not the wind that moves, nor the flag that moves, but the mind of the benevolent one that moves."
All things are empty; everything is created by the mind. Because the mind moves, all things move; because the mind moves, life has many troubles.
Long ago, a king was separated from his men in war. When his life was in danger, a blacksmith hid him and successfully deceived his pursuers.
Afterwards, the king was rescued and offered the blacksmith a reward. The blacksmith, however, only asked one question: "Your Majesty, what did you feel when death approached?"
Upon hearing this, the king flew into a rage: "How dare you ask a king such a foolish question!"
The blacksmith knelt and begged for mercy, but it was to no avail.
The king had already ordered his execution. As he saw the falling blade, his legs trembled and tears streamed down his face.
He suddenly realized that all his past joys, angers, discontents, and complaints were now insignificant; he only wanted to live!
Then he noticed that the blade hadn't fallen. The king stood before him, smiling, and asked, "Now you know?"
In this world, apart from life and death, everything else is trivial.
Live, and love yourself well. Because no one understands you better than yourself. Empathy is something that can only be attempted, never fully achieved.
The Buddha said, "I have no attachment to anything, so why shouldn't everything surround me?"
Forget about life's troubles. Life is short, not worth wasting on sorrow. Forgetfulness is a blessing! Why let past memories linger in your life?
Life is a multiple-choice question; whether to cry or laugh is entirely up to you. Life's hardships are a necessary choice; after experiencing the necessary hardships, you will receive the desired sweetness.
Life's suffering is never about what you encounter, but about what's in your heart.
3.
With a mind, everything exists
. The Avatamsaka Sutra says: "All phenomena arise from the mind, all things are transformed by consciousness; all dharmas arise from the mind. "
All things arise from the mind; if the mind exists, then everything exists.
Master Chenyuan led several disciples into the desert.
The long journey had exhausted them, and the intense desert sun and sandstorms left them parched.
They had run out of water, and their confidence in crossing the desert was fading.
Just then, Master Chenyuan took out a water jug from his waist: "Look everyone, I have another jug of water, but you can only drink it after we get out of this desert."
The disciples passed the jug around one after another. The jug was heavy, like a source of life, rekindling their hope in their near despair.
Finally, they struggled step by step and left the desert. Overjoyed, they wept, suddenly remembering the water jug that had given them their strength.
But when they unscrewed the lid, sand poured out.
Master Chenyuan said to his disciples, "In the desert, dry sand can sometimes be clear water, as long as you hold the belief that a clear spring resides in your heart."
The Tang Dynasty Zen Master Niutou Farong once said, "When the mind is stagnant, all dharmas are obstructed."
This means that once the heart is entangled in worries and anxieties, it is difficult to achieve true freedom and liberation.
What you have in your heart is what you have.
Because there is love in your heart, your life is full of love; because your heart is full of suffering, your world is always gloomy. With sunshine in your heart, you are not afraid of the coldness or warmth of the world.
With a firm heart, everything else falls into place.
Hardships are meant to make you stronger, and pain is meant to highlight happiness.
If your heart feels no bitterness, what great suffering can there be in the world? If your heart is free of worries and anxieties, what entanglements can there be in the world? Without worries and pain in your heart, there is no hurdle in life that you cannot overcome.
People, please empty the garbage from your hearts.
Don't let sunshine and good fortune have nowhere to rest. A calm heart leads to clarity; a light heart brings joy.
