Three things you should see through most in life

"busy" is a combination of the characters for "heart" and "death," implying that busyness leads to a dead heart. Tian Wei wrote in *Half an Acre of Flower Field*: "In life, we all receive different scripts. Some are mundane, some intense, some filled with laughter, some with tears. No matter what, I must perform well until the curtain falls." Life is so precious that any way of living it feels like a waste. If I had to offer one piece of advice on not wasting life, I think it would be: Don't save the best for last. If you don't finish your life, you might regret it, but regret is useless. Let me tell you another story. A bright and intelligent girl, she excelled academically and worked very hard from a young age, eventually gaining admission to a prestigious university, pursuing postgraduate studies, and studying abroad. After returning to China, she became a young lecturer at Fudan University, entered into a happy marria...

How can you make those who look down on you look up to you?

Ahead lies a crossroads. Imagine you're standing there. You'll see countless unfamiliar faces pass by in just a few minutes, yet not a single one stops for you. This is life. The road to success is often lonely; no one can achieve it overnight. Before, you were unknown, bullied, yet fearless, seeing others' strange looks as mere stimuli to thicken your skin. Before, you were bold and unrestrained, wanting others to see you, to notice your uniqueness, to give yourself a sense of security. Before, you were petty and self-centered, lingering marks from past hurts. The more others looked down on you before, the harder you now strive to earn their admiration. Indifference leads to inaction. Perhaps you've been insecure, but that was just a small setback to your confidence. Perhaps you've been kind, but that was just a sliver of compassion in your heart. Perhaps you've been naive, but that was just a stepping stone on your path to maturity. All of this indic...

Sometimes bending down can help you regain your priceless dignity.

Long ago, a young Norwegian man traveled across the ocean to France to apply to the prestigious Paris Conservatory. During the audition, despite his best efforts, the examiner failed to admit him. Penniless, the young man went to a bustling street not far from the conservatory, tightened his belt, and began to play his violin under a tree. He played piece after piece, attracting countless listeners. Finally, the hungry young man held out his violin case, and the onlookers readily took out money and placed it inside. A scoundrel contemptuously threw the money at the young man's feet. The young man glanced at the rogue, bent down to pick up the money from the ground, and handed it to him, saying, "Sir, your money fell on the ground." The rogue took the money, threw it back at the young man's feet, and arrogantly said, "This money is yours now; you must take it!" The young man looked at the rogue again, bowed deeply to him, and said, "Sir,...

11 Good Habits That Will Benefit You

In the new year, strive to cultivate these good habits that will benefit you for life: 1. Don't bring your phone to bed. The allure of mobile phones is too great. Bringing them to bed often delays your normal bedtime. Furthermore, sitting on your phone in bed is very harmful to your eyes and cervical spine. Avoid your phone before bed, and read a book for a while after getting into bed. Go to bed on time and ensure you get enough sleep. 2. Eat breakfast . Always eat breakfast to ensure sufficient nutrient intake! After all, our bodies haven't eaten all night when we wake up. If we don't replenish our energy in time, it's easy to wear down our bodies. Start your day right with a nutritious breakfast to recharge your body. 3. Be 10 minutes early for everything. It's best to leave yourself some leeway in everything you do. Being 10 minutes early allows you enough time to handle unexpected situations and prevents you from always being in a state o...

This was a battle whose outcome was already known.

At the end of the Year of the Pig and the beginning of the Year of the Rat, millions of families gathered together, the streets were sparsely populated, and shops and restaurants were closed. Everyone was united in fighting a war without gunfire.        This was a battlefield racing against time, where all the frontline workers and medical staff worked tirelessly for over ten days straight, fighting to save innocent patients from death. This was a war against an invisible virus that could wipe out large numbers of people in an instant; one person's inaction or indifference led to the quarantine of thousands. This was a battle that horrified everyone who witnessed it, every rescue was a heart-stopping experience, and every death was a source of immense sorrow.     Every morning was the same routine, every noon the same news, every evening the same worries. The red on the map grew increasingly prominent, the gray numbers rose higher...
